LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF THI VAI LPG STORAGE TANKS PROJECT
The largest storage of liquefied petroleum gas and light gasoline in Vietnam, Thi Vai Terminal (also known as PV GAS Vung Tau Terminal (KCTV)) was built in Ba Ria Vung Tau province and started operation in 2000. It has a capacity of approximately 50% of the total LPG storage capacity of the entire country. Since the very beginning of its operations, PV Gas Vung Tau Terminal has taken seriously the work to guarantee security and safety. By doing so, it has not only consistently operated and successfully completed the tasks assigned to it, established and maintained a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency, but it has also played a significant role in ensuring the nation’s energy security and stabilizing the LPG market.
The “Thi Vai LPG storage tank” project, which is a component of Thi Vai Terminal, consists of 03 spherical tanks with LPG storage technology. Each tank has a capacity of 2,000 tons of LPG and is connected to the current terminal’s infrastructure, which will satisfy demand and boost the storage facility’s capacity to accommodate PV Gas’s production and commercial operations at KCTV.
Following the stages of organizing the selection and rounds of negotiation and negotiation with its rich experience in EPC implementation of its onshore projects, the Investor has trusted PTSC to be selected as a contractor with sufficient capacity and experience to carry out the bidding packages ” Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) – Thi Vai LPG tank project.”
On January 4, 2023, a contract signing ceremony for the ” Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) – Thi Vai LPG tank project” was held by the Vietnam Gas Corporation branch’s Gas Project Management Company and PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation. Additionally, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) recently held the Thi Vai LPG Tank Project Launching Ceremony at PV GAS Vung Tau Terminal (KCTV).
The selection of KTN as the fire pump supplier for this significant project fills us with great respect and pride. 03 sets of diesel-powered fire pumps made by PENTAIR AURORA with Q = 5000 GPM; H = 10 Bar, and engine power 800 Hp were provided by KTN for the Thi Vai LPG storage tank project. produced by CLARKE, the engine.
In addition, KTN was selected in 2012 to supply 2 sets of diesel fire pumps and 1 set of electric fire pumps manufactured by PENTAIR AURORA for the Thi Vai LPG cold storage project at PV GAS Vung Tau Terminal (KCTV).
